The Ideal Home Show - Part Two
The Ideal Home Show has been running since 1908 making it one of Britain's most long running annual exhibitions. In spite of this, every year it produces inspirational ideas and cutting edge designs, and this year is no exeception.

Visitors will enter the futuristic space of this year's Show through a dancing water feature incorporating two dramatic pyramids. There will be celebrity guests and experts on hand from the world of interiors, gardening and technology to consult on the latest trends, styles and innovations. There are also spectacular home and garden displays including the show-stopping Tower of Time. These combine to mirror past, present and future scenes of interior heaven at Earls Court, London.

Mirroring the Future of Style
The dramatic central theme of this year's show draws inspiration from the forward thinking and evolving style of British homes and interiors over the past fifty years to capture an overview of the changing face of British life. A spectacular 16-metre high, mirrored obelisk centrepiece, the 'Tower of Time', takes the form of a reflective time machine. The interior of the Tower boasts a series of five interactive, theatrical chambers showcasing the best of British architecture and design from the past, present and future.

Visitors to the Tower of Time will be taken on an unforgettable journey with theatrical effects and eclectic room sets combining to whisk them back into the nostalgia of past decades and experience a truly interactive snapshot of a life gone by. There will also be a sneak preview of futuristic living, complete with holograms.

The Garden Collection - A Healing Haven
Outside pursuits are well covered in the stunning 1,000sq metre Garden Collection, a haven of design ideas for all garden lovers. Whether your garden aspirations stem from rustic, rural retreats or the clean-cut minimalism of water, there is something to suit every space. Visitors can explore the Healing Garden and learn about the properties of herbal and holistic plants, and enjoy the calming water features and beautiful floral displays in this relaxing environment.

Designs on the Future - Concept Products 2003 Award sponsored by MFI
The highly popular Concept Products Award 2003, sponsored this year by MFI brings visitors a fascinating forecast into the future of domestic gadgets. Design students nationwide have been invited to submit their inventions of the most ingenious domestic gadgets, drawing influence from the mundane and unconventional. Shortlisted products will be displayed in Earls Court and visitors can vote for their choice throughout the show, with winners announced during the final week. Winning inventions from previous years have included kettleless mugs and a self-erecting iron, destined to be future classics.

'How To' Interactive Theatres
Two fully interactive theatres will be operating all day, every day at the show giving advice, demonstrations, information and top tips for everything you need to know about food and your home.

Leading chefs, restaurateurs and food critics will all play a part in the sizzling kitchen food theatre featuring cookery classes, junior chef competitions and 'cook-offs' with audience participation and judging. The experts will cover everything from the newest food trends, to how to cook the perfect traditional roast and visitors will even be given the chance to taste delicious new products to keep them going throughout the day.

The interiors theatre will give visitors the chance to solve all their DIY problems whilst offering inspiring ideas on how to transform their homes with maximum impact and minimum cost. Celebrities will be running sessions giving exclusive insights into forthcoming trends and experts will be demonstrating new methods to help create the dream home.

The Village
Surrounding the Tower of Time, the show home village will give an insight into innovative and futuristic living. The Allied Carpets Hexagonal House will incorporate a very contemporary design, featuring a unique living space and modern gardens. The Masonite House will also be based on an innovative and unique design and will feature the latest in interior design. The third building in the Village will comprise of apartments from British Telecom, offering the ideal living environment for modern working couples.
