 Official Letter of Thanks
This
is the official letter of thanks Joanne Shipway received for her
voluntary work giving first aid to the victims of bombing during
the Second World War. Read more about

The letter, typed on a manual
typewriter, says:
Dear Miss (corrected by hand)
Shipway
I have been asked to let you
know that the Secretary has been informed of the First Aid services
rendered by you to victims of a recent enemy attack and that
he has expressed his gratitude for the help you gave.
You will, I am sure, be encouraged
to know that your efforts are appreciated both officially and
by the Local Authority.
